Jump Start

Specifically for young athletes from ages 7 – 12, this small group program sets the foundation for success in any sport by focusing on speed, agility, and overall athletic movement.

Audience:      Ages 7-12
Focus: Sets an early athletic foundation

The Parisi Jump Start Program is taught by certified Parisi Performance Coaches and utilizes the most up-to-date research to build a young athlete’s physical foundation, improve their coordination and self-esteem. Our signature speed and strength training methods are serious, but all within a fun and friendly environment to ensure the young athlete is engaged and motivated to give 110%.

In many of our locations, the Jump Start program is divided into Jump Start I for ages 7 – 10 and Jump Start II for ages 11 – 12. Regardless of the division, our Performance Coaches are specifically trained to motivate and challenge the young athlete, while providing age-level safe and appropriate training techniques and corrections that set a foundation for good life-time habits.

Jump Start is a must for any young person who wants to develop foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.

Total Performance

Geared toward middle school and high school athletes, this small group program focuses on the specific techniques used to improve speed, agility, and strength.

Audience:  Ages 12-15
Focus:   Signature programming that provides maximum, foundational improvement to support athletic performance

The Parisi Total Performance Program utilizes the most up-to-date research on safe athlete training techniques and injury prevention as it foundation. This program uses our signature speed and strength training methods and cutting-edge coaching techniques from certified Parisi Performance Coaches to produce maximum improvements in athletic performance.

At this level, programming is broken down into an individual focus per session. These are:

  • Linear Speed: Parisi’s signature straight-ahead acceleration and top-speed running techniques.
  • Change of Direction: Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.
  • Upper and Lower Body Strength: Strength training exercises for muscle development and injury prevention.

This program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and refines their skills in order for them to maximize their strength, aerobic and/or sport specific training. Athlete’s will also learn the skills and conditioning necessary to help prevent injuries through various warm-ups, exercises and techniques.

Many experts view the ages of 13 – 18 as the most ideal age for developing speed, strength and power over an athlete’s entire lifetime. It is during this program that the athlete and Parisi Performance Coach focus on the detailed, but critical specifics that are the basis for athletic success, in order to develop a good athlete, into a great one!

Elite Sports Performance

For higher-level high school and adult athletes, these small-group program transitions Total Performance athletes to their next level of athletic ability.

Audience:      Ages 14-22
Focus: Training focused on unlocking an athlete’s full potential

Parisi Elite Sports Performance transitions Total Performance athletes to their next level of ability. This program focuses on the regression and progression of our signature speed-training methods. At this level, certified Parisi Performance Coaches use their knowledge and experience to individualize strength training for their athletes based on their abilities and specific goals.

Utilizing either Basic Strength or Advanced Strength programming, this program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and develops their athletic abilities even further, in order for them to maximize their potential and reach their goals on game day.

At this level, programming aligns with the focuses of Total Performance training with an increases in difficulty and intensity to promote enhanced athletic performance. These are:

  • Linear Speed: Parisi’s signature straight-ahead acceleration and top-speed running techniques.
  • Change of Direction: Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.
  • Upper and Lower Body Strength: Strength training exercises for muscle development and injury prevention.

This program refines athletes’ skills to maximize strength, aerobic capacity and sport performance. Athlete’s in this program will elevate their game to the next level under the expert guidance of Certified Parisi Performance Coaches.

PEAK (Parisi Elite Athletic Knowledge)

Customized One-on-One Training

Specifically for elite athletes of all ages, this individualized coaching program focuses on an athlete’s specific goals and improvements needed to raise his/her capabilities in their chosen sport.

Audience:    7 and up
Focus:  Training for those aspiring to complete at the highest levels, this program provides sport specific training for athletes. (NOT SKILL SPECIFIC)

The Parisi PEAK Program was created for elite athletes who aspire to compete at the collegiate, Olympic or professional level. Delivered in semi-private sessions, this program identifies the skills that are necessary for an athlete to reach their potential at a specific sport and provides them with the training necessary to help turn “potential abilities” into “actual abilities.”

PEAK has been proven to help athletes:

  • Run their fastest sprint time ever
  • Increase vertical jump
  • Break their all-time max lift
  • Maximize agility

The program focuses on an athlete’s individual needs for a specific sport and desired improvements. This high-level training aims to develop an athlete’s specific talents, while at the same time turn their weaknesses into strengths. PEAK can be added to our Jump Start and Total Performance programming to provide a comprehensive athlete training program or it can stand on its own to work only on specific needs and is also taught by certified Parisi Performance Coaches.

Alex Shisler

Monday through Friday:

4:00 – 5:00 pm Jump Start

5:15 – 6:15 pm Total Performance

6:30 – 7:30 pm Elite


10:00 – 11:00 am Jump Start

11:15am – 12:15 pm Total Performance/Elite

Kris Bookamer

Coach Kris has been involved in athletics since his youth where he participated in Soccer, Football, and Wrestling. Kris has also competed as a powerlifter where he set his federation’s state record in the squat, 600lbs, and the total, 1505lbs, in the 198lb weight class. Kris earned his master’s degree in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University and has interned with the strength and conditioning coaches at Juniata, Bloomsburg, and Bucknell. Kris has worked as a personal trainer coaching youth athletes to seniors in a variety of different goals ranging from performance to health.

John Meyer

Coach John is currently a senior at Penn State University majoring in kinesiology. John is originally from West Point, New York, where he grew up playing soccer as well as doing crew. John has been involved with athletics since his youth and has been coaching soccer through both club and high school programs. John is starting as a performance coach here through the Parisi system where he hopes to help youth athletes reach their highest potential.

Alex Shisler
Coach Alex has been involved with coaching for over 10 years with his athletic background being in Track and Field. As a State College native, Alex competed for the State High track and field team and then at Penn State specializing in the 200m and 400m. Alex has earned 2 Big 10 gold medals and an NCAA silver medal running the 400m leg in the Distance Medley Relay. He holds personal bests at 21.45 in the 200m and 46.95 in the 400m. After his athletic career finished, Alex assisted Coach Tucker as a volunteer assistant with the Penn State track team for another 2 years. Alex hopes to help youth athletes learn how to enjoy the process of improving to help athletes achieve any and all goals.

Parisi’s three core elements focus on the fundamental athletic movements that are applicable to all sports: acceleration, top end speed, and change of direction.  Athletes will be evaluated individually to develop a baseline starting point by which to monitor and document athletic improvement.  For more on the Parisi Speed School system, visit their website at parisischool.com.

  • $25 fee will be credited toward purchase of the Parisi three or nine month contract.

Registration for any Parisi Program will occur with the aid of a Parisi coach, after the evaluation has been completed.
